About Us
Foundation
Fundacja Edukacji Muzycznej is a non-profit music education foundation, founded by Anna Podhajska. Anna also runs the Instytut Suzuki in Gdańsk, Poland, where together with a team of skilled teachers, she is dedicated to nurturing the musical abilities of children using the Suzuki Method.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of our Suzuki Strings Workshop, which is a fundamental part of the Suzuki learning experience, offering students the chance to gain new perspectives on their instrument, learn from teachers from across Europe, and immerse themselves in a supportive community that believes in the Suzuki philosophy: "that every child is capable of learning in a nurturing and positive environment".
Mission
Our commitment is to provide enriching experiences not just for young beginners, but also for intermediate and advanced students, including those who have progressed beyond the Suzuki books. We recognise the need for these students to play in large, skilled groups and to form friendships across borders.
By participating in our workshops, students of all levels get a unique opportunity to improve their skills, make lasting connections, and enjoy the enriching world of music.
Our Principles
At Fundacja Edukacji Muzycznej, our workshops are a joyful endeavour, bringing together students, parents, teachers, and volunteers to create a vibrant and enriching musical community. To ensure that each workshop is successful and stays true to the ethos of the Suzuki method, we follow a set of guiding principles that reflect our commitment to respect, preparation, and collaboration.
